Dr. Shalaka Mamidwar

Dr. Shalaka Mamidwar is a highly experienced Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and IVF specialist with over 24 years of clinical practice. Over the course of her career, she has managed over 10,000 patients, conducted approximately 10,000 deliveries, and performed 500+ IVF cycles - making her a deeply trusted name in women’s healthcare in Chandrapur and surrounding regions.

She completed her MBBS from D.Y. Patil Medical College, Mumbai University, followed by a Diploma in Ophthalmology (CPS, Mumbai). However, driven by her passion for women’s health, she transitioned into Obstetrics & Gynaecology and went on to complete her MD from Bombay Hospital, Mumbai University - reflecting both clarity of purpose and commitment to her calling.

Dr. Mamidwar is the founder of Chandrapur’s first IVF centre, a milestone that significantly improved access to fertility care in the region. Her work reflects a strong belief that quality reproductive healthcare should not be limited to metro cities.

She has been actively involved in academic and professional contributions—serving as faculty at multiple conferences and co-authoring a chapter in the Manual of Infertility Management. She also holds key leadership roles in President – Obstetrics & Gynaec Society (Chandrapur). She is also a Master Trainer for MUKTA, a FOGSI initiative focused on building a thalassemia-free India.
