Embryo Freezing
In some IVF/ICSI cycles all the embryos that have been created will be frozen (freeze all cycle), this may be done when there is a risk of hyperstimulation or the hormonal levels are not favourable or the endometrium does not look receptive for implantation. Excess embryos created during IVF can also be frozen and stored for future use. This allows couples to try again without going through a full IVF cycle each time. Embryos are frozen using advanced techniques like vitrification and safely stored in liquid nitrogen. The chances of pregnancy are unaffected by freezing.

For whom?
Embryo freezing is recommended for women or couples who wish to preserve embryos for future use or when immediate transfer is not advisable.
 It’s especially relevant if:
- You are undergoing IVF or ICSI and have excess good-quality embryos that can be stored for future cycles.
 - Your doctor advises a “freeze-all” cycle due to the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation or unfavourable hormonal or endometrial conditions.
 - You wish to plan future pregnancies without repeating the full IVF stimulation and egg retrieval process.
 - You are considering fertility preservation before medical treatments or life events that may affect fertility.
 - You want to space pregnancies or maintain flexibility in your family planning journey.

Embryo freezing offers security, flexibility, and continuity - allowing you to preserve your embryos with confidence and return for transfer when the timing and health conditions are most favourable.
